2023 Mercedes EQS City Edition with Scooter: A Surprising Combo

The mission of Mercedes-Benz’s Urban Mobility Solutions division is to develop livable cities through the development of safe, sustainable, effective, and accessible mobility products. One of their most recent projects is the exclusive electric luxury sedan 2023 Mercedes-EQS City Edition, which is only produced in 150 examples and is available in two colorways.

The EQS City Edition has badges that attest to its exclusivity and location and is only offered in the Los Angeles metro area. The car has a three-stage, 99 percent effective air purification system called the Energizing Air Control Plus with HEPA Filtration. Additionally, purchasers get a one-year subscription to an Unagi Model One Voyager electric scooter, which would typically cost $69 per month.

The EQS City Edition’s low sales volume may be explained by the small number of people who would buy a $127,000 electric luxury sedan and those who would use an electric scooter, but it also has other benefits that make it a desirable choice. Customers get a $1,000 credit from Qmerit to install a free ChargePoint Home Flex Charger, which usually costs $479. They can also use a concierge service to help homeowners with the installation process.

Drivers get a $250 credit when plugging into ChargePoint stations away from home in addition to the two years of free 30-minute charging sessions at Electrify America that come with the EQS. Given the patchy nature of the nation’s charging infrastructure, this is a significant benefit.

A donation will be made to a Safe Kids Worldwide chapter in Southern California by Mercedes-Benz USA for each EQS City Edition vehicle sold. Although the City Edition’s price has not been made public, interested buyers can visit their local dealership and should plan to spend at least $130,000.

Overall, the EQS City Edition is an exceptional and limited-edition Mercedes-Benz offering that combines luxury, sustainability, and accessibility. With its limited supply and special benefits, it’s certain to draw a niche market of buyers looking for an exceptional electric vehicle experience.
